- Hand Woven Rugs
We practice and teach good stewardship of our resources in all parts of our lives and in our rug weaving we practice recycling of materials. Our rugs are made from totally recycled cotton or poly cotton blend materials. We reclaim products or materials for our rugs. These products are new (not used) material, but they are the byproduct of another industry (i.e. hosiery mills, bedding factories, curtain manufacturers, clothing and upholstery mills). To those industries, the materials are "waste" ... to us, they are a way to help the environment by keeping usable goods out of landfills. We recycle materials into artistic rugs, placemats and coasters.
Your purchase of any of our product confirms our commitment to recycling and all revenues generated from sales of these beautifully crafted products support the wages and services for the blind and visually-impaired.
Our hand loomed-old fashioned-rag-rugs, look right at home everywhere in the cabin, camper, kitchen, den, laundry, living rooms or bedroom. We provide simple, straight-forward designs with hand tied fringe. Our rugs are hand woven by visually impaired artisans with years of experience in weaving rugs. Rugs are machine or bathtub washable.
There is always a variety of rugs - large and small - as well as placemats and coasters in stock when you visit our gift shop. And if you'd like the perfect rug made for your home or business, contact our staff to select the colors and fabrics that will make a unique conversation piece or gift for you or somebody you love.
The selection of rugs changes based availability of materials, so check back often. Many of our rugs are one-of-a-kind. But please contact us if you need a different size or special order of our hand woven products.
Besides the rugs listed here 24”X36” and 27” X 42” in a variety of primary and earth tone colors, we can make custom rugs the size you need. Special orders are available in widths of 24”, 27” and 30” with lengths up to 120”.
Choose colors and patterns similar to the rugs shown on this page, or request something new. Custom orders do not fit the shopping cart format, so please call or email us with your desires.
The rugs pictured on these pages are one-of-a-kind and are in stock. Any of these individual rugs can be shipped within the 48 states in a week. If you would like to order two or more of any of the rugs pictured, they will be custom made for you. We try our best to get the custom orders made for you in 2 - 3 weeks.
Most of these items are available for immediate shipping. Placemats in some colors may be custom made for you. Expect delivery in 1-3 weeks. If you need a rush order, please let us know, and we will respond to your request.
- Cotton String Mops
Our mops are made in sizes to meet your application. Trained visually impaired employees using quality materials construct our mops. The materials are galvanized mop ties, clear lacquer pine handle and cotton-rayon blend string. Our goal is a quality product with long life at competitive prices. Each mop is routinely inspected for quality and durability.
The mops sizes are12,16, 20, 24, and 32. The 20,24 and 32 mops have one (1”) handles.
